If your blog is redirecting to another site, or is missing images and style, this can be easily fixed.
- Check the wp-config.php file in the appropriate directory to get the database name.
- In phpMyAdmin, click on the database name, then click on the wp_options table.
- From there, click on Browse, and look for the 'siteurl' and 'home' variables (options 2 and 38).
- Change those to the correct URL for your blog.
How to change the WordPress domain setting to my temporary URL.
- Check the wp-config.php file in the appropriate directory to get the database name.
- In phpMyAdmin, click on the database name from the left hand menu.
- Click the Browse icon for the wp_options table.
- Look for the 'siteurl' variable (option 2) and click the Edit icon.
- Change the http://domain.com/ part to your temporary URL (found in your welcome email).
- Look for the 'home' variable (option 38) and click the Edit icon.
- Change the http://domain.com/ part to your temporary URL (found in your welcome email).
- Done! Now you can use your temporary URL to preview your blog on the TITBservers.
Once you are ready to change your nameservers (or DNS), be sure to change these entries back.
